WHY TYPE ® ?

The WhyType® Hands-Free System has been specifically developed to meet the unique needs of people who have RSI (Repetitive Strain Injury), Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Spinal Cord Injuries, Arthritis, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, ALS, MS, Muscular Dystrophy, Back Injuries, and any other limited hand or arm movements.


With the WHY TYPE® Hands-Free System, you can create word processing documents, E-mail, spreadsheets, faxes, presentations, etc., all by voice. Text or numbers are immediately and legibly entered into your favorite software application with no typographic or spelling mistakes. Costs, delays, and errors of having someone else type for you are eliminated. Correspondence, school work, and office work can be completed independently.

Extensive Dictionary
The WHY TYPE® System features a 180,000 word integrated vocabulary with specialized phrases and terms. We started with the most extensive vocabulary available in a PC speech recognition system and added terms that our customers were using over and over. Your additional words can be added quickly and easily to this extensive base. This allows you to further tailor the vocabulary with terms such as names, addresses, phone numbers, etc. And it automatically remembers these new terms after just one use.

WHY TYPE® Hands-Free Macros
The WHY TYPE® Hands-Free System includes extensive "field tested" macros for hands free use. We created macros and scripts that allow you to bring up forms and records with simple voice commands. Internet access, file management, faxing, and e-mailing features are also included in your WhyType® system.

What makes the WHY TYPE® system really productive is the unique way we have combined forms with voice macros. By "filling in the blanks" you can significantly decrease the time you spend dictating standard text.
